A research institute promoting the study of Pentecostalisms in Sweden and in the world
A cooperation between the Faculty of Theology, Uppsala University and the Pentecostal Theological Seminary of Sweden, Uppsala
The Institute for Pentecostal Studies was founded in 2007:
- to promote and carry out research about Swedish and international Pentecostal movements
- to bring together and support researchers from different disciplines who investigate Pentecostalism in one form or another
- to create basis material for the Swedish Pentecostal movement to be used in their revision and renewal of identity, theology and activities
- to provide assistance to international Pentecostal movements in their search for roots and their history, especially those with origins in Scandinavia
